The shooting of 'Aadhi Bhagavan', a Jayam Ravi - Neetu Chandra starrer film directed by Ameer came to a sudden halt due to some 'unavoidable' reasons. A lot of doubts were raised about the movie, especially after Ameer was roped in to play a pivotal role in Bharathiraja'a 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum'.
Putting an end to all apprehensions, the director is now all set to re-start the shooting of the film. "While Jayam Ravi has allotted fresh dates, Neetu Chandra is flying down to Chennai to complete her portions. Everything will be done on a fast track," sources say.
"Ameer wanted to complete the shoot of Aadhi Bhagavan before he starts shooting for Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum. His portions in the Bharathiraja movie is expected to begin only by early next year. So he will finish Aadhi Bhagavan before that," add the sources.
'Aadhi Bhagavan', an action entertainer, sports Jayam Ravi in a different role. The actor said in an earlier interview: "I am a great fan of Ameer and watched all his films. I am happy to do the lead role in Aadhi Bhagavan which I expect to be a milestone in my career."
Ameer gets his priorities correct
When director Ameer was signed on to play the lead in Bharathiraja's Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum (AK), many in the industry were wondering what would happen to the film he was currently directing,...
Jayam Ravi is currently busy with Aadhi Bagawan which is directed by Ameer. Neetu Chandra is the heroine. After Paruthiveeran, which awed the Tamil audiences across the world and introduced a fiery new talent called Karthi, Ameer took a break from direction. But with Aadhi Bagawan he is back.
Nearly 75% of the film is complete and since it is Ameer, insiders say that we can expect to be taken completely by surprise with his offering. Everything was going smoothly but unfortunately a problem cropped up. The producer, Anbazhagan has been arrested and the shooting was temporarily stalled. Trade talk is that the shooting will resume and keep to the schedule, but a new producer might just step in. The cast and crew are keeping their fingers crossed.
